WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality announced the launch of its new Lifetime Membership opportunity, offering health professionals a unique opportunity to elevate their legacies in leadership.
As the oldest and largest membership association of LGBTQ+ and allied health professionals, GLMA has a rich history of impact driven by and for the LGBTQ+ community. From its founding at the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis to its current advocacy efforts at the Federal and State level to influence policy and safeguard access to gender-affirming care, GLMA has and continues to be a leader in advancing LGBTQ+ health.
The Lifetime Membership plan is a powerful next step in this journey, offering GLMA members a pathway to leadership within their professional fields and deepening their commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
The landscape of LGBTQ+ is quickly evolving, and the current legislative and political assaults on the LGBTQ+ community continue to drive worse health outcomes for this population. GLMA's membership forms a powerful collective that actively resists these trends through policy influence, legal advocacy, research support, and comprehensive LGBTQ+ health education across health professions and disciplines.
The new Lifetime Membership offering paves the way for GLMA members to enhance their influence and catalyze impactful change on all fronts. It also ensures a lifelong investment in personal career development by granting unlimited access to networking opportunities, educational content, and curated updates on relevant advancements in LGBTQ+ health.
