Adapting the Healthcare Provider AIDS/HIV Stigma Scale

Overview:
In my study, Adapting the Healthcare Provider AIDS/HIV Stigma Scale (IRB-FY2026-375), I will adapt the Healthcare Provider AIDS/HIV Stigma Scale to examine patient perceptions of healthcare providers’ attitudes toward HIV+ patients and transgender women, investigate differences, and explore relationships between psychological variables, provider attitudes, and perceptions. I will use a psychometrically validated scale, ensuring the adapted language accurately captures the intended ideas, attitudes, and perceptions I am trying to assess. I will need to collect data from both healthcare providers and transgender women. This is where I come to you for help.

I created a survey for participants (you, your friends, doctors, yoga instructors, colleagues, and so on) to provide basic demographics and rate statements from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree.” It takes about 10 minutes. I will assess if the survey scale works for my dissertation.
