Transgender & Gender Expansive Students Experience of Safety on College Campuses

Overview:
This is a qualitative study exploring the experiences of transgender and gender expansive (TGE) students attending college classes on-campus in the US. This project endeavors to elucidate the experiences of TGE students in the US at a time when TGE people are at increased risk due to ongoing policy changes and harmful rhetoric. Using semi-structured 60-minute interviews, the study aims to understand the impact of political discourse and legislation on TGE College Students and seeks to gain insight into ways to increase the experience of safety for TGE college students on campus, centering intersectional and social safety frameworks.
