Overview:
The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences of transgender and gender expansive (TGE) individuals who have been diagnosed with cervical cancer in their lifetime. Specifically, the study will examine the unique resilience factors associated with identifying as TGE that may provide support during the diagnostic and treatment process. This study will investigate how participants experience gender embodiment following diagnosis and assess the overall impact of the diagnosis on their mental health. Additionally, the study will utilize de-identified photographs submitted from the participants to answer the research questions and center their experience.
