Interview Study: LGBTQ+ Adults with Past Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Experiences

Overview:
This research study aims to explore how your experiences, as an LGBTQ+ person, with both child welfare and the juvenile justice system, might connect (or not). The purpose of these interviews is to learn about your experiences with child welfare and the juvenile justice system as an LGBTQ+ youth. I’m interviewing other LGBTQ+ folks who also have experiences with child welfare and juvenile justice as children. All participants must be 18 years old or older to participate in this study. From this study, I hope to learn if and how the child welfare and the juvenile justice systems treat LGBTQ+ youth similar to or different from cisgender heterosexual youth.
