The impact of attachment style, minority stress, and victimization during adolescence on relationship satisfaction

Overview:
This is a quantitative research study to gain new knowledge and build on past research for the LGBTQ+ community. The purpose of this quantitative study is to add to the existing body of knowledge and research. Further, this study will investigate if there is a connection between bullying during adolescence and the impact on relationship satisfaction in adulthood for SGM couples. This study will also investigate the relationship of attachment style and minority stress on the relationship satisfaction of SGM couples. A deeper understanding of lived experiences of SGM couples will promote greater depth and understanding of their unique challenges that will guide the development and implementation of services and programs creating social change by giving voice to this community.

Target Audience:
Individuals who identify as SGM to include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning individuals and were victimized during adolescence.
Be in a committed relationship with a same sex partner for at least 6 months·                    
Age 18 and above
