TRAnsgender and Nonbinary young adults’ mindful Self-Compassion fEasibility aNd acceptability Determination (TRANSCEND) Study
Overview:
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a virtual 8-week mindful self-compassion intervention among transgender and nonbinary young adults ages 18-25 who live in the United States. We'll also obtain feedback about specific activities in the curriculum to see whether (and how) they should be adapted to be more relevant for transgender and nonbinary folks. A gender diverse team is leading the study and delivering the curriculum. There will be five consecutive groups of 8-12 participants. Participants receive compensation for completing pre- and post-intervention surveys, weekly practice journals, and attending weekly sessions.
