Beyond Acceptance: Exploring the Caregiver-Provided Protective Factors in the Lived Experiences of Sexual and Gender Minority Adults
Overview:
This study employs a qualitative methodology, with a phenomenological design employed to investigate the lived experiences of sexual and gender minority individuals regarding the protective factor provided by their caregivers during adolescence. Data will be collected through semi-structured interviews, via online platforms such as ZOOM, with sexual and gender minority adults who disclosed their identities to their caregivers during adolescence.

18 and older, reside within the United States, identify as a sexual and/or gender minority, had a positive experience with caregivers during adolescence in regards to their sexual and/or gender minority status
