During Bi+ Health Month of 2021, GLMA announced the launch of the GLMA Bi+ Health Professional Network listserv! About Open to health professionals, researchers, health professionals, researchers, students, and trainees who are bi+, the listserv is a space for professional discussion, networking, and community building related to bi+ health and bi+ health professionals. Join the GLMA Bi+ Health Professional Network Listserv To join the listserv, fill out this simple form to provide your email address and moderators will add you. The listserv is open to all people who identify as bisexual, pansexual, biromantic, panromantic, fluid, queer, and other similar or related sexual identity labels; people who don’t use sexual identity labels, but who report multigender attraction; and those who feel based on their lives and experiences that the bi+ affinity network is a community that would support them. Background The listserv comes as part of our efforts to provide community building and networking opportunities for LGBTQ health professionals aligned with GLMA's Sharpened Focus. The launch of the Bi+ Health Professional Network listserv is one step of many towards fostering more opportunity's for GLMA's multidisciplinary membership and supporters to convene, strengthen connections, and advance policy and education to ensure LGBTQ people receive the healthcare we need and deserve. The listserv is an outgrowth of the popular networking sessions for bisexual health professionals, people of color health professionals, trans health professionals, and COVID frontline health professionals which we piloted at the 38th GLMA Annual Conference on LGBTQ Health. We look forward to sharing further opportunities for networking and community-building at the 39th GLMA Annual Conference and in the months to come. We're grateful to the participants of the 38th GLMA Annual Conference Bisexual Health Professional Networking Session for fostering the idea of a listserv, and to Lauren Beach, JD, PhD, for their collaboration on the launch of the listserv. |
