10th GLMA Annual Nursing Summit

Now Seeking Nominations for the Local Champion Award!

GLMA's annual daylong Nursing Summit will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. This year, we celebrate our 10th pre-conference Nursing Summit.

"The Nursing Summits are like finding an oasis in a desert." - 9th GLMA Annual Nursing Summit attendee

"This is my favorite conference that I attend. It is a reprieve and a joy to come together with other like-minded and simultaneously diverse colleagues. Such an empowering and moving experience every year." - 9th GLMA Annual Nursing Summit attendee

Nursing CE will be available.

Goal

The goal of the 10th GLMA Annual Nursing Summit is to build an inclusive home to foster capacity building for LGBTQ nurses, nurse allies and nurse supporters. The summit provides a forum for mentorship, support, networking and education to promote health equity among LGBTQ individuals. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, research, leadership, education and training, policy and activism, workplace climate, and patient care among diverse groups of LGBTQ persons.

Register for the Nursing Summit

Registration for the Nursing Summit is now open! Follow the instructions on our registration page to register through the same portal as Annual Conference registration.

We advise that anyone who has submitted an abstract for Nursing Summit consideration does not register until you have received notification of your abstract acceptance status in mid-June. Speaker rates for the Summit and the Conference will only become available after abstract decisions have been shared.

The Local Champion Award

The GLMA Nursing Section's Local Champion Award is given each year to an individual, group, or institution working within or on behalf of the local LGBTQ community of the host city for the GLMA Annual Conference. As we return to San Francisco for the 10th GLMA Nursing Summit, we are seeking nominations for Bay Area award recipients. Please use this form to nominate individuals, groups, or institutions by Monday, June 6 at 11:59 PM ET.

The GLMA Nursing Section

The Nursing Summit is developed by GLMA Nursing Section. Created in 2014, the GLMA Nursing Section aims to be a professional home for LGBTQ nurses and fill a critical need in the professional association landscape by providing a focal point for advocacy on LGBTQ nursing issues. Learn more and join the GLMA Nursing section here.

The health and safety of all GLMA Annual Conference participants is a top priority. GLMA will continue to monitor the latest public health data and local, state, and federal guidelines as we continuously re-evaluate and update our conference COVID-19 safety protocols. Please stay tuned for additional details and updates to these policies. Protocol components based on endemic rates, CDC guidance, and local policies may include proof of vaccination, COVID-19 PCR or antigen testing, and masking. Thank you for your cooperation.
